The elemental domain is a new domain mainly aimed at clerics who follow deities that venerate one of the elements, or even an elemental lord that's powerful enough to provide spells to their worshippers. By focusing the cleric on elementals, they can enforce the aspect of another domain, or even provide a good foundation for a cleric who's more arcane, possibly with the magic domain.

Notes: An opposing element is considered to be the element that a cleric with either the air, earth, fire or water domain can turn using that domain's granted power. If a cleric has the elemental domain but not any of the other domains listed above, they get no bonus to rebuking elementals, but are not restricted in rebuking any elemental, regardless of type. Special consideration can be given to characters with the cold domain, which should allow them to better control cold elementals, but not fire elementals.

Elemental Domain
    Deities: Any deity that provides an elemental domain (air, earth, fire, water) is a good choice. Examples include Obad-Hai from the Greyhawk setting, Akadi, Grumbar, Istishi or Kossuth from the Forgotten Realms, Balinor, Onatar, the Devourer or the Cults of the Dragon Below from the Eberron setting, elemental clerics from the Dark Sun setting, or worshippers of the Elemental Princes.
    Granted Powers: Rebuke or command elementals as an evil cleric rebukes or commands undead. Use this ability a total number of times equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier. If you possess access to the air, earth, fire or water domain you gain a +2 bonus on your checks to rebuke or command elementals of that type. You cannot rebuke or command elementals of your opposing type. This granted power is a supernatural ability.
